• Tammi Hart

  • Tammi Hart works for Tenneco Inc. and oversees global compliance and supplier diversity. As the Global Supplier Diversity and Compliance Sr. Purchasing Manager, Tammi is responsible for assisting, integrating, and promoting vendors from underrepresented groups. Among other things, this includes managing and adhering to global conflict minerals and critical raw material legislations and reducing financial risk in the supply chain of Tenneco's Powertrain Business Group.

    Tammi has advocated for the inclusion of underrepresented vendor groups in sourcing efforts ever since she learned about Supplier Diversity in 2006. Tammi has received recognition from advocacy groups and customers for her efforts to guarantee the inclusion of underrepresented vendors in state and automotive supplier chains. Several honors have been bestowed upon her, including Corp! Diversity Business Leader, Great Lakes Women's Business Council Ambassador, Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council Buyer of the Year, and Advocate of the Year. The Tenneco Black African Heritage Employee Resource Group, Plymouth Tech Center Employee Engagement, the Great Lakes Women's Business Council, the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council, the National Veterans Business Development Council, Rise4CP, and the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center are just a few of the organizations Tammi is involved with through committees and advisory boards.

    Tammi holds a bachelor's degree in business management and an MBA with a strategic management concentration. Tammi is also a recipient of Supplier IO Supplier Diversity Masterclass Black Belt Certification, and Tuck School of Business certificate in Supplier Diversity Professional Excellence.
