• APACC Welcomes Michelle Maki as New Special Events Manager

    APACC is pleased to welcome Michelle Maki as our new Special Events Manager, beginning June 2, 2025. This strategic addition comes as part of the organization's continued growth and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for APACC members, the AAPI business community, and Michigan's economy.

    Michelle brings with her an impressive 20+ year track record in event planning, project management, and member services across diverse industries. Having successfully managed everything from intimate board meetings to large-scale conferences with 700+ participants, Michelle is uniquely positioned to elevate APACC's signature events and programs.

    Throughout her career, Michelle has demonstrated exceptional expertise in coordinating complex logistics, from venue booking and budgeting to speaker coordination, AV setup, and post-event analysis. Her experience spans virtual and in-person events, webinars, trade shows, and international conferences, including the MEMA/JAMA One-on-One conference in both the U.S. and Yokohama, Japan. She has been instrumental in growing membership organizations, helping one startup association expand from 250 to 450+ members while generating $4.5 million in revenue.

    Michelle's comprehensive skill set includes vendor management, volunteer coordination, and database administration. Her proven ability to streamline business processes and drive operational excellence aligns perfectly with APACC's mission to provide value to its members while fostering economic growth in Michigan.

    Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Michigan State University. She is based in the Lansing, Michigan area and will work in a hybrid remote capacity.
