As a leader of the Engineering & Maintenance team, the Plant Technical Manager will be responsible to coordinate and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance, project management and alteration of processes, equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities by performing the following duties personally through subordinate salaried staff and maintenance technicians.The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Oversee and direct the maintenance staff to achieve machine availability and other production and quality KPIs.
- Provide oversight and intervene as necessary in downtime situations in the plant.
- Oversee the scheduling of technicians and distribution of work in corrective, preventative, and predictive areas.
- Interface with and respond to the management team to correct operational issues and provide solutions to plant deficiencies.
- Manage internal and external resources to install new equipment and execute plant and equipment upgrades.
- Control of all engineering, facility, and maintenance expenses.
- Be an asset in Lear's automated production transformation.

Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in technical discipline; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment: Hydraulics, pumps, fluid processing, 480 VAC motors and distribution, electrical controls, robots.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reliability methods.
- Experience with plant floor operations, TPM, and maintenance management.
- PLC ladder logic familiarity preferred (Rockwell RSLogix family, Siemens Step7 and TIA).
- CAD familiarity preferred: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
