Butzel, a 170-year-old full-service law firm with offices throughout Michigan and in Washington, D.C., is looking to expand its Aerospace & Defense (“A&D”) practice, seeking both partner-level established attorneys with a book of business as well as associate-level support for existing clients.

LOCATION: Michigan or Washington, DC  

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience in advising clients on issues in government and commercial contracts, FAR and DFAR involving A&D matters, drafting legal memoranda, bid protests, REAs and claims, and substantive policy articles and commentary
• Advise clients on compliance with ITAR, EAR, and FMS
• Experience researching the law applicable to government contracts and subcontracts, administrative law and regulatory requirements at the federal and state level

• Organizational and project management skills
• Communication skills, both oral and written
