General Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Principal Program Engineer - Natural Gas Generation is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project. The incumbent oversees multiple initiatives and works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. The Principal Program Engineer - Natural Gas Generation will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The Principal Program Engineer - Natural Gas Generation is responsible for the deliveries of the team and for overseeing the work of lower-level engineers and technicians. The Principal Program Engineer - Natural Gas Generation will be responsible for leading and supporting the engineering and development of the Natural Gas Generation development. This includes the development of new Combine and Simple Cycle Natural Gas Power Plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee the development and review of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) engineering packages, evaluate Requests for Information (RFIs), and provide support for field inspections during the construction of Simple and Combined Cycle Power Plants.
- Manage Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
- Interact with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
- Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, and report on the project's status.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projects. Assign responsibilities and mentor the project team.
