The Role:
The Distribution Strategy Leader will serve as a transformational leader, responsible for redefining and modernizing the end-to-end vehicle distribution experience for both dealers and customers. This individual will lead a team focused on enhancing dealer satisfaction, improving the customer journey, accelerating sales and market share, and driving out inefficiencies in the order-to-delivery pipeline.
A central accountability of this role is to build and expand a Distribution Strategy Center of Excellence, aligning with sales channels and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, proactive communication, and continuous innovation.

They are energized by driving meaningful change, developing high-performing talent, and delivering measurable improvements in customer and dealer outcomes.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):- Lead and develop the Distribution Strategy Managers team focused on cross-functional optimization.
- Build and evolve the Distribution Strategies Center of Excellence, supporting field operations and improving dealer and customer experiences while reducing waste and inefficiency.
- Identify and resolve systemic issues in the order-to-delivery process to reduce cycle time and improve dealer satisfaction.
- Champion automation and digitization initiatives that alleviate pressure on field teams and improve execution in distribution-related tasks.
- Lead the channel distribution support structure, ensuring strong engagement, satisfaction, and communication across sales channels.
- Foster a learning and development culture, enabling Channel Distribution Managers to deliver strategic guidance in Dealer Order Management, forecasting, inventory balancing, constraint management, order placement, and Strategic Target Market Initiatives (STMI).
- Guide integration and collaboration between distribution strategies roles and internal stakeholders (Order Fulfillment, Logistics, Sales Support, Finance, IT, Legal, FreightVerify).
- Drive process improvement efforts through mapping, risk reduction strategies, and decision-tree development.
- Provide strategic support for key special projects as needed.
- Cultivate and maintain strong functional relationships with internal and external partners.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
- At least 7+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Minimum 7+ years of automotive industry experience.
- 5+ years of direct dealership-facing experience, preference to field leadership capacity.
- Visionary leader with the ability to see beyond current limitations and innovate for the future of vehicle distribution.
- Strong strategic planning and proven execution capability.
- Effective project management with a track record of leading initiatives to completion.
- Business acumen with a growth-driven mindset to drive performance improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, especially with senior leadership.
- Deep understanding of dealership operations, particularly order management, allocation, and logistics.
- Working knowledge of risk management practices and tools
Preferred Qualifications:- Proficient in GM systems and applications such as VINView, UVI, OTDS, VBARS, VTIMs, OWB, etc.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
