    YOUR ROLE
    As a Senior Algorithm Engineer on our team, you will be part of Aptiv's Advanced Safety group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.

    The Tracking and Sensor Fusion Team is located in our Troy, MI Tech Center. We are looking for Automated Driving Algorithm Developers, who will be responsible for developing advanced sensor fusion and vehicle tracking algorithms within Aptiv that meet the requirement of L0-L3 autonomous driving system.

    In your daily job you will:

    • Algorithm development for Tracking and Sensor Fusion
    • Design, integrate, test and release software/algorithm to internal and external customers
    • Algorithm validation and functional performance Improvement in various environments
    • Help resolve the challenging perception problems from different global programs
    • Collaborate with the downstream teams to support the L0-L3 autonomous driving system globally.
    YOUR BACKGROUND
    • Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant filed
    • 2+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object tracking
    • Good understanding of tracking filters, data association and machine learning algorithms
    • Critical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
    • Understanding of ASPICE
    • Basic knowledge of radar signal processing
    • 3+ years of C++ and Python
    • Experience with version control and issue tracking on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Jira, Jenkins or similar)
    • Flexibility to change to different perception tasks
    Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
    • PhD in Engineering or relevant field
    • 5+ years’ experience in Automated Driving algorithm design and implementation
    • Real-world L2 or higher level automated driving system development
    • Experience with Python and ROS
    • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, numerical methods and statistic methods
    • Experience in code profiling and optimization
