A Sales Account Manager is responsible to secure profitable new business growth as well as maintaining existing portfolio products. Responsible for contributing to commercial aspects in identifying, quoting, and winning new business, while increasing the size of the opportunity space with customer portfolio. S/he will contribute to the critical sales elements - including but not limited to customer strategy, price management, stakeholder relationship management internally and externally and sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
Customer Strategy- Maintain and grow customer relationships & satisfaction
- Secure profitable growth within our holistic product portfolio, prioritizing targeted platforms and opportunities.
- Ability to translate vision and strategic plan into clear and specific strategies with defined and measurable outcomes
- Customer Strategy: understanding and influencing what drives economic value for the customer
- Aptiv Strategy: understanding what drives economic value -profitability for Aptiv, Enterprise & Divisional
- Develop customer power maps and identify decision makers
- Leadership experience successfully building relationships with internal and external clients
- Ability to understand and qualify our value advantage versus our competitors; understand and articulate the strength of our offerings / solutions
- Gather customer intelligence and proliferate internally
- Proven executive-level skills in complex deal strategy, development, financial structuring, and negotiations
- Professionally draft and deliver proposals, both internally and externally
- Achieve revenue, bookings and profit to business plan and budget
- Ability to lead and establish firm quote offers to customers; provide cost breakdown
- Design, create or contribute to the creation and maintenance of crisp value selling material to support Aptiv's sales pitch
- Seeking opportunities for profit improvement
- Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge & experience with Aptiv's Product Development Process and Operations (EOS)
- Ability to be an effective business partner within a matrix, global organization; establishing credibility and trusted partnership within the Divisions & Functions
- Drive internal customer pipeline review - balance customer requests with current business conditions and investment priorities to meet annual sales plans
- Identify potential / future new business opportunities including advanced development studies
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
- Bachelor's level degree in business or related fieldMinimum of 5-7 years
- Executive Level Sales Experience
- Communication proficiency
- Superior interpersonal, team building, and organizational skills
- Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,Teams)
- Decision making ability with sound business acumen and clear understanding of the market and financial impact.
- Education: BS in Business, Engineering, Finance or related fields
- Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to present to both internally and externally.
- An understanding of the major Automotive or Commercial Vehicle OEM customers, Tier-1 suppliers
- Structured thinker with ability to analyze data and draw recommendations / conclusions; confident in presenting a point of view both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including ADAS and User Experience
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
- Excellent organizational skills to properly track and report customer account progress to management
- Build trust and adaptive to change.
- Excellent command of English
