Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) look for ways to engage and support entrepreneurs on their journey as they move through the startup and scaleup stages of business growth. Each community is different, defining its own best ways to support its entrepreneurs.
Still, there are common blocks to build upon when establishing entrepreneurship programs that support entrepreneurs “where they are.” Regardless of the availability or lack of resources, there are numerous ways to engage and support entrepreneurs. It is equally important to support them based on their backgrounds — such as whether a person “has to” or “chooses to” be an entrepreneur.
