Brian C. Moore, Sr. Director of Business Development and Supplier Diversity, Flex Automotive.
Brian has taken on the responsibility of supporting the development and execution of the Flex Diversity Wiring Joint Venture, Automotive and Corporate Supplier Diversity initiatives, and Diversity & Inclusion objectives. Brian supports Flex’s Automotive D&I initiative for Ethnicity and Races and is a Regional Employee Resource Group Chairperson. He was an ACE Ambassador for MMSDC in the “Advocate of the Year” category in 2019, 2020, and 2021 on behalf of his contributions to Supplier Diversity. In 2020, Brian received the 2020 Corp! Magazine “Diversity Business Leader” Award. In 2021, he was awarded Advocate of the Year from the GLWBC.
Brian began his career as a Secret Classification Systems Engineer with Boeing Airplane Company prior to starting his career in the automotive industry in various roles such as an Electro-Mechanical and Release Engineer with General Motors for seating systems, Engineering Supervisor for ITT Automotive seating hardware and components, Chief Engineer and Engineering Program Manager for Excellence Manufacturing, and lastly as the Director - Interiors Platform (Business Development, Engineering and Program Management) for the Bing-Lear Seating and Power Mirrors Diversity Joint Venture.
Inspired by his work at Bing-Lear, in 2002, Brian founded and launched his Management Consulting business. Brian successfully ran his Management Consulting company for over 19 years, concentrating on supporting the development and strategic growth of businesses, with emphasis on those Minority or Diversity owned. His focus was specific on Business / Management/Operational Strategies, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Business Development, and Marketing. Brian also supported Corporate Automotive companies on various projects and launches, as well as the Oil, Gas, Chemical, Energy, Mining, and Environmental industries, domestically and globally. Brian has B.S. in Engineering from Southern University, and Graduate School Executive Leadership from Cornell University. Brian has over 34 years of combined corporate and consulting industry experience.
In early 2017, Brian onboarded with Flex to support their diversity growth initiatives. Brian further revitalized the Supplier Diversity Program and works with Diversity, MBE, and various Supplier Diversity Advocacy Organizations. He serves on multiple minority and diversity-based committees, as well as Board Member for MHCC and VOBRT. He has utilized his years of experience and knowledge to support his passion for implementing Supplier Diversity process improvement strategies and contributing to overall Diversity-centered growth enhancements. In addition, Brian is both a lifetime and past Board Member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni, and currently serves on the FBI Multi-Cultural Committee. Brian is married, currently resides in Detroit, MI, and loves tennis, golf, travel, learning, and has a great appreciation for Art (current Board Member of the Mint Artist Guild for Inner City Youth).
