Letter from the Executive Director

As we welcome in the new year of 2021 and say goodbye to 2020, I would like to thank all our Asian Pacific American Chamber members, strategic partners, sponsors, and friends for being a part of our vast network. Although 2020 was filled with lockdowns, cancelations, and uncertainty, it has also been filled with accomplishments, recognition, new opportunities, and new friends. Thank you for all you do in support of APACC and the Asian Pacific American business community.

The guidance, support, and encouragement of the APACC Board of Directors have been incredible during these trying times. This year we welcomed three new board members, Qiong Sun, Global Vice President, Hybrid E-Mobility Solutions at TE Connectivity, Robert Townsend, Vice President, Corporate Services at DENSO International America, Inc., and Sucheta Walimbe, Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer at Ford Credit Company. The knowledge and experience they bring to the board will help APACC move forward and provide higher value to our members.

Thank you to Leonie Teichman for making sure APACC continues to function safely and seamlessly as we transitioned to virtual events and work remotely.

There is a lot to look forward to in 2021. We kick off the new year with a virtual Speed Networking event in January. Look for details of this event and registration in your inbox, coming soon. Save the date for the 18th Annual East-West Business Connection, a virtual event, on Wednesday, March 3. 

2021 is APACC's 20th anniversary, and we will be celebrating the entire month of May for Asian Pacific American Heritage month! Be ready to celebrate with us!
