2023 is well underway, and APACC's Small Business Action Committee (SBAC) remains committed to bringing forth relevant content and expertise to Asian-owned small businesses. By leveraging our access to resources and individual networks, our committee is determined to offer you learning moments in easily accessible formats!
SBAC Overview
The SBAC was formed during the last quarter of 2021 to help widen the learning opportunities for businesses, in tandem with the generous grant contribution from General Motors. GM continues to support APACC memberships for small businesses.
Whether you are a family-owned restaurant, a local manufacturing supplier, or in the service industry, business owners share very similar goals and challenges. Last year small businesses were able to take advantage of our recorded webinar series, which was accessible to businesses to view 24/7. Many of you, at your own leisure, viewed the videos via APACC's YouTube Channel. With each webinar, engagement increased. In addition to continuing these efforts, we plan to engage with you at in-person events so we can further learn about your issues, concerns, and desires as small business owners and individual contributors.
Our Future Success Begins Today!
With the above in mind, the committee is looking to welcome an additional 1-2 committee members who share our same drive for supporting the APACC community. As our committee seeks to widen its reach, we look forward to sharing various thoughts, ideas, and perspectives to benefit members. I am continuously amazed by the ideas that stem from unsolicited conversations, not only at networking events but during committee meetings and one-on-one interactions.
Please visit the APACC website for details regarding the SBAC and how to apply to become a committee member: Small Business Action Committee - Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC), MI. I look forward to further interacting with anyone interested in joining the committee!
Here’s to a successful 2023!
