Public Service Announcement Affecting the Asian Community in West Bloomfield Area

APACC - Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce was recently contacted by the West Bloomfield Police Department regarding a series of home invasions affecting many business owners in the area. We ask you to kindly share this information below with your friends, colleagues, and family in an effort to help circumvent future incidences.

Message from the West Bloomfield Police Department:

    Respected business owners,

There has been a rash of residential home invasions in southeast Michigan communities that have targeted business owners while they are at the workplace during business hours. Not all, but the majority, have targeted Asian business owners.

Entry is being gained into the home through the second level with use of a ladder as most upper level windows are not protected by glass breakage alarm systems. Large amounts of valuables and cash have been stolen and, even when secured in a floor safe, the safe has been forcibly breached.

Please take the necessary precautions to protect your valuables and rest assured that the West Bloomfield Police Department is working diligently to apprehend the responsible suspects.

If you have any information that may be of assistance you are encouraged to

contact Detective Brooke Dolmyer at (248) 975-8981.
