• Herman Miller released a statement on Twitter concerning increased violence toward AAPI community

Herman Miller released their statement on Twitter today about the recent acts of violence against the AAPI community:

"At Herman Miller we are difference makers and recognize our responsibility to create change inside our company and in the communities in which we live and serve. Now, more than ever, we acknowledge how important it is to make a difference for the AAPI community (Asian American Pacific Islander) by clearly articulating our position with commitment and action. We stand against hate and violence against the AAPI community, and stand for justice.

We will take action by bringing greater attention to the specific needs of the community and will create platforms that allow us to lean in and hear their voices, even more than in the past. Most importantly, we commit to being responsive to this community’s needs. The power of allyship and advocacy has never been more clear than in the past year, and we're committed to doing our own work to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion.
