    Medical Assistant

We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others. 

     
    We are seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for direct service to clients in our Outpatient Psychiatric Services Clinic, that serves both adults and children with mental illness/behavioral health and substance use disorder needs. This multidisciplinary team-based model includes: a psychiatrist, registered nurse, medical assistant, case managers, outpatient therapists and peer support.  The team serves consumers with mental illness and substance use disorder needs with an emphasis on evidence-based therapeutic treatments. 

     
    This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no weekend, on call, or holiday requirements for this position. This assignment is in person at 790 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

    CMA certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants or the RMA certification through American Medical Technologists preferred
    Strong understanding of services for psychiatric and substance disordered consumers, and a strong recovery philosophy, preferred
    One year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, preferred
    Experience working with an Electronic Health Record, preferred
