Parks Attendant (Parks & Recreation Attendant)
Under close supervision, summer employees of this beginning level classification have direct interaction with customers at the point of sale, greet and act as hosts to visitors, take reservations, coordinate park entry and complete cash transactions. The employees answer questions, give directions, explain facilities, and assist higher level employees involved in the general maintenance and operations of the County Park facilities. Depending on the work assignment, Parks & Recreation Attendants may assist in the operation of a contact station at a campground, day use or dog park facility, food concessions, nature center, pro shop of a County golf course or waterpark operation. May utilize current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
1. Be at least 16 years old.
2. Pass the employment physical established for this classification.
May be required to provide safety shoes.
