• Design and Release Engineer - Forward Lighting

    The Forward Lighting Release Engineer is for specific exterior lighting components used for vehicles. Responsible for packaging requirements, lighting performance, lighting system behavior/validation. The Engineer is responsible for developing test plans (behavior/switching based), vehicle and component validation activities. He/she will be responsible for vehicle level final confirmation that all exterior lighting functions work as designed and are legal; and will develop solid knowledge of lighting regulations and EE systems behavior.
    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
    • Five years of engineering experience
    • Track record of strong leadership
    • Must be self-directed
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills required to support design/development process
    • Knowledge of headlamp, tail lamp, small lamp technologies, design practices and regulatory compliance specifications
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
    • Electrical background
    • Automotive lighting experience
    • Working knowledge of NX/Teamcenter
    • Knowledge of development testing and validation processes
    • Shainin and/or DFSS Black Belt experience
    • Experience developing performance standards and source packages
