Executive Director of the Alliance for Economic Success
Working as the executive director of the Alliance for Economic Success, you will work closely with the Board of Directors to lead initiatives that identify needs of the community, monitor current issues, and develop programming related to economic development with an emphasis on job retention, marketing the counties as a positive business locale, and assisting with business services. You will provide businesses, government officials, and industries with demographic and other information, while providing consulting to businesses with financial packaging, business plan development, permit processes, and licensure procedures.
You will assist community members, business owners and government officials to understand the economic, social, political, and environmental impact of economic development and promote active citizen participation in decision making, while acting as facilitator, convener, economic counselor, and educator to assist businesses with retention and expansion of their enterprises.
You will be responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of programming based on research and the needs of clientele. You will be expected to maintain current economic development status data, needs, issues, and trends in the region, specifically those addressing rural communities.
Acting as a resource to staff, personnel, and clientele, you will disseminate information through various methods, including multi-media, education, and written articles. You will be a resource to professional staff responsible for community development, business development, grant administration, and value-added agriculture programs, bookkeeping and office management, and will assist local governments and other organizations with grant writing and proposal development.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, finance, economic development, or related field with an expectation to complete a master’s degree within a specified time frame, in a related field, after employment; or, master’s degree in business, public administration, finance, economic development, or related field.
