Compliance Specialist - Lending - Ann Arbor, MI
The Bank's Compliance Specialist will support the Bank's various lines of business. The successful candidate will advise and inform the line(s) of business in Lending, on all compliance-related matters as well as perform focused compliance reviews and monitoring to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. This encompasses monitoring our Compliance Management System, conducting internal compliance reviews and monitoring and compliance training for all employees.
The successful candidate brings experience from the lending side of banking and enjoys working with others collaboratively, but also is not afraid of providing direction. You are someone who thrives on problem solving and always strives for continuous improvement in all areas supported. You are very organized and does well with time management and has strong written communication skills.
- Provide compliance advice and guidance to all Bank staff and address all compliance-related questions and issues
- Facilitate and assist external compliance auditors during onsite or offsite fieldwork.
- Perform focused internal compliance reviews, as needed or in response to Compliance audits, and report findings to Compliance Committee and applicable business line(s).
- Work with business lines to develop and enhance compliance-related reporting and prepare deliverables for external audits.
