Manager, Defense Strategy - Remote
The Manager, Defense Strategy is a key member of the GMD Growth & Strategy team, whose role is to develop and clarify GMD’s strategy as a commercial or commercial derivative competitor in the defense industry. This person will create and drive initiatives required to grow the business, evolve and revise the GMD business model, and refine internal processes to improve how GMD goes to market and achieves profitable growth. The Manager, Defense Strategy will develop strategies to profitably grow the strategic growth platforms of Integrated Vehicles, Power & Propulsion and Autonomy & Connectivity.
Strong collaboration with GMD business development, finance, engineering, legal and contracts, as well as other functions within GM LLC such as corporate development and corporate strategy. AND MORE...
- Defense Strategy Development : Lead cross-functional teams to revise and clarify the core GMD business model. Develop and define the industry and competitive position GMD must take to succeed as a commercial or commercial derivative industry player.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Manager, Strategic Planning to develop and execute the annual GMD strategic plan and to revise and deploy the annualized strategic planning process.
- Growth Initiative Development & Execution: Evaluate the market and industry, network with external stakeholders, and develop partnership opportunities, ultimately driving corporate partnerships as a key element of the GMD strategy. Leverage industry and government relationships to identify and develop new business opportunities. Collaborate closely with GMD Business Development team to convert industry and ecosystem relationships into contract opportunities.
