    Salary range: $40,000 - $45,000

    Job Description
    Assists Operations Manager on organizational processes and execution of APACC events, works to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency. Assist in recruiting interns, volunteers when necessary, and help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance. This position has an opportunity for advancement.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Make important event planning, and strategy decisions.
    • Communicate and collaborate well with team members, chamber members, sponsors, partners, media and vendors.
    • Assist with recruiting when necessary.
    • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
    • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
    • Work with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to determine values and mission, and plan and organize events that would help to grow the chamber
    • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the chamber.
    • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
    • Assist in connecting Chamber members to programs, services and involvement opportunities that meet their needs.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications
    • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
    • Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Entrepreneurial mind set and ability to take ownership of work.
    • Team player
    Computer literate; proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • General understanding of finance and budgeting
    • Must be flexible regarding job responsibilities.
    • Must be able to work in a team setting as well as independently.
    • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.

    Desired Qualifications
    • 2+ years in event management or related field
    • Experience working for a nonprofit/chamber of commerce.
    • Experience working with the Asian Pacific American community.
