SBA MICHIGAN’S LUNCH & LEARN SERIES: SBIR & CMMC UPDATES
The SBA Michigan District Office in collaboration with the BBC Entrepreneurial Training and Consulting (BBCetc) and Totem Technologies invites Michigan’s small businesses to learn about the important updates to the SBA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant program and the recent U.S. Department of War’s (DoW) suspension of CMMC Phase II requirements for small defense contractors. The DoW’s suspension of its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program Phase II requirements follows months of engagement between the DoW, SBA, and small business stakeholders. Learn how this suspension impacts your business. Likewise, the SBA’s SBIR program was re-authorized in recent months which has ignited opportunities from the federal agencies that participate in the program. Find out if your technology is a fit for the SBIR grant.
The SBA Michigan District is pleased to have as our featured presenters, Monique Branham, Principal Consultant at the BBCetc, Michigan’s Federal and State Technology (FAST) partner along with Adam Austin, Co-Founder and President of Totem Technologies a small business cybersecurity compliance management tooling provider.
All SBA programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis. Reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Please contact the SBA Michigan District Office at 313-226-6075 for assistance.
