Samaritas, one of Michigan’s largest faith-based health and human services nonprofit organizations, is hosting a World Refugee Day Town Hall to raise awareness on the current conditions and problems refugees experience.
To provide greater clarity around this issue, especially in light of the impact COVID-19 is having on services and budgets across Michigan, Samaritas is leading this virtual town hall with key members of the refugee community, on June 18 at 2 p.m. EST, available via Zoom and on Facebook Live.
Experts and passionate leaders from national and local organizations comprise this panel of refugee advocates. Shelley Irwin, WGVU anchor and award-winning journalis t will moderate the hour-long panel discussion.
