National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Detroit Chapter will hold Learn & Grow Series Series 2019 session IV. This session will be an interactive panel discussion in which our esteemed panelists will share their perspectives and answer questions about their experience in public service. Panel members will also provide insight into various opportunities available to run for elected offices, to get appointed on State boards and Commissions as well as career opportunities with some of the premier federal government agencies. Public service was identified as a topic of interest in our participatory brainstorming workshop on 2019 trending topics, back in April! Six speakers will join the panel to talk about what motivated them to seek office, and how they got there. They are: - Stephanie Chang – State Senator - Padma Kuppa – State Representative - Senior Officer – Central Intelligence Agency - Special Agent – Federal Bureau of Investigation - Dr. H. Sook Wilkinson Ph.D. – Chairwoman, Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees - Roland Hwang – Vice President, Northville School Board
