DESCRIPTION:Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) is partnering with Connected Nation Michigan\, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC)\, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation's Market Development team to help Michigan's Internet Service Providers (ISPs) procure the necessary commodities\, (e.g. fiber-optic cable\, splice closures\, concrete vaults\, handholes\, etc.) needed to deploy new broadband networks in Michigan and ensure the once-in-a-generation opportunities of the new IIJA and other funds can be realized to connect all Michiganders.\n\n\n\nThe partner group will host a panel discussion on August 10\, 2022\, on the Connect Space virtual event platform. This virtual session will include the Michigan High-Speed Internet Office and 2-3 Internet Service Providers (ISPS) / Broadband Prime Contractors. The discussion will include current and projected supply-chain needs\, procurement processes\, and anticipated shortages. \n\n\n\nPMBC will open a registration form for interested businesses to collect general company information\, and specific capabilities relevant to the anticipated broadband projects. Suppliers will be asked to upload a capability statement if available\; if suppliers need assistance creating or updating a capability statement\, they will be encouraged to reach out to their local PTAC.\n\n\n\nDuring registration\, you will be asked to upload a capability statement for your company if you are a business looking to connect with prime contractors. If you do not have a capability statement\, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) are available to help prepare or update one.
