This beloved festival\, which has been a part of Hamtramck's cultural tapestry for over two decades\, continues to be a shining example of unity and resilience.\n\n\n\nThe Bangladeshi Mela\, where "mela" translates to "festival\," is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of various communities in Hamtramck. During the three-day event\, residents from diverse backgrounds\, including Bangladeshi\, Yemeni\, Polish\, and many more\, come together to partake in a rich tapestry of cultural experiences. Attendees can savor a diverse array of culinary delights\, witness captivating dance performances\, admire youth art\, and enjoy a wide range of talented performers from diverse communities.\n\n\n\nThe event will take place on September 15\, 16 and 17 from 5 to 10 PM at Jayne Field\, located at 4499 Charles St\, Detroit\, MI. On the last day of the festival (9/17)\, state officials and candidates will gather at 6 PM to welcome the diverse community and share their hopes for the future. Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist and Deputy Secretary of State Aghogho Edevbie will join us for this special event.
