  • Duc Nguyen Abrahamson (She/Her) Duc Nguyen Abrahamson (She/Her)

    Executive Director

    As the Executive Director, Abrahamson acts as the spokesperson for APACC, manages and evaluates programs and activities, provides leadership to the board and staff, allocates necessary resources, and develops organizational policy and programs.

    Abrahamson has created strategic programs and fundraising in nonprofits since 2006. Before joining APACC, Abrahamson worked with Wayne State University, Walsh College, HAVEN, The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan (formerly Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan), and the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan. She obtained her BA in Psychology from Wayne State University.

    Abrahamson is a member of the Inclusion Allies Coalition Advocacy Committee, focused on being a visible and vocal advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion globally; a member of the 2024 NFL Draft Detroit Program & Events Advisory Subcommittee; a member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition's Michigan Advisory Committee;  International Business Services Advisory Council for Automation Alley, President's Community Advisory Group for Wayne State University, and a member of the Board of Advisors for Corp! Magazine.

    Abrahamson has been recognized as a Notable Women in Nonprofit by Crain's Detroit, Game Changer by Illitch Sports + Entertainment, received the Role Model Award from Alternative For Girls, and the Diversity Champion Award issued by Corp! Magazine.

  • Rachapa Lau Rachapa Lau

    Associate Executive Director

    Introducing Rachapa, the Associate Executive Director of the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC). With nearly a decade of expertise across nine Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries, she strategizes fundraising, special events, programming, and membership.

    Rachapa earned a Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering and Management degree from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. She honed her skills in the logistics and supply chain industry with Linfox International Group, managing multimillion-dollar projects, customizing supply chain solutions, and growing businesses with clients in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, retail, and industrial sectors. Later, as Regional Talent Acquisition and Remuneration Manager, she launched the Management Trainee Program and recruited individuals ranging from associate level to C-Suite across the APAC region.

    During her tenure at Tencent in the information technology, internet, entertainment, and media industries, Rachapa excelled as a Talent Acquisition Manager. She was instrumental in establishing new departments and streamlining recruitment processes.

    Now based in Michigan with APACC, she is focused on propelling the success of the organization and its members. Simultaneously, she directs her efforts towards the advancement of Michigan’s economy and provides essential support to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.

    Outside work, Rachapa enjoys inspiring others to explore through their family’s social media channels.

  • Leonie Teichman Leonie Teichman

    Vice President of Operations

    Ms. Leonie Nyuk Lien Teichman, originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, moved to Michigan in 1997 and began her career with Fidelity Bank in the Operations Center. She ensured the quality assurance process within the various banking transactions by reviewing project requirements and measuring the final product to original requirements.

    In 2007, she then joined Baosteel America Inc. as the Administrative Assistant and Inventory Controller in the Detroit Office. She assisted with contracts, warehousing and logistics along with accounts receivable for over six years.

    In 2014 Leonie joined Logic Solutions Inc. as an Accounting Assistant where her background in Finance enabled her to provide accurate audits as it concerns with invoices and balance sheets. She assisted in managing the Accounts Receivable (AR) process and reconciliation of account balances.

    In 2015, Leonie joined the APACC Team as its Office Manager managing daily office transactions. Now, as a pillar at APACC, Leonie plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees operations activities ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of APACC.
