Rona Lum was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a graduate of the University of Hawaii, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She received her law degree from the Michigan State University School of Law. Ms. Lum is in private practice and specializes in the many aspects of business-based immigration law, particularly in the medical, pharmaceutical, information technology, engineering, and higher education professions.

She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, International Law Section; American Immigration Lawyer’s Association; Asian American Bar Association of Michigan; the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association; and a member of the Congress of Fellows of the Center for International Legal Studies, Salzburg, Austria. Ms. Lum is a Trustee of the Community Care Services Board of Trustees of the Henry Ford Health System. She is also a member of the Advisory Council for the Paralegal Studies program and Adjunct Faculty at Baker College, Auburn Hills campus.
